May Exhibition: Pippita Bennett

Pippita Bennett is a local textile artist whose practice embodies the ways in which art can connect us to place.

Stitched Landscapes is a collection of Pippita’s responses to landscapes she has visited.
They represent her exploration of a sense of place. Stitching with plant dyed fabric and thread she to builds a connection with the landscape in which she finds herself: the physical, social and emotional landscape.

There are pieces from Ikara Flinders Ranges in South Australia, the Western Plains
of NSW, Southern India and Norfolk Island.
